Its starting all over again.

There seems to be an increase in complaints from our Muslim counterparts with regards to dogs.

At least, from Damien's and my observation in the papers.

The dog-loving racist bloggers who were jailed seemed to bring the tricky situation of Muslims and dog owners to a whole new different level. Now, the ones who fear and hate dogs can rant all their woes and the ones who love dogs better keep their mouths shut lest they end up in jail.

A dog owner myself, I would have to say a word of fairness. There are some complaints which are fully justified. After all, wails of how dogs anyhow shit, pee, run mad on the loose are things which even dog-loving me cannot stand. Being a responsible pet owner means you pick up their shit, and keep your dog under control at all times. Sadly, many Singaporean dog owners are not like that. The whole lot of them are not only ill-educated about pets and the responsibilities, they are also ungracious. Ok, the latter seems redundant since Singapore is an ungracious society when it comes to animals anyway. So much for being first in everything else. Pui.

I read an email on cat lovers bitching about dog owners who off leashed their dogs. Upon seeing the cats, the dogs gave chase and frightened the poor pussies etc etc. Dog owners didn't do anything to stop their dogs, and this of course infuriated the cat people. My sympathies to you. I know how frustrating it is. Just like how frustrated I was when cats came up to attack my dogs and cat lovers didn't do anything about it either. If i wasn't so neutral towards cats, I would have given them a good whack on their heads and thrown them down the canal for a good swim.

You think i'm evil?

If i try anything to scare the cat, i get farked by cat lovers. If i don't do anything and let my dogs defend themselves (and that prob means they'll end up physically hurting the cat), i get farked by cat lovers too.

Who's being evil here?

So cat owners, leash up your cats too why don't you? Don't play victim here. I've seen my fair share of cats attacking dogs, for no rhyme or reason.

Anyway, for those Muslim kawans who are so antagonised over the whole dog issue, perhaps a little tolerance and understanding from both parties might do the trick.

But of course, such beautiful words are just trash out in the real world.

Otherwise Alex and Titan won't be sniffing other canine's crap and Siti would know for sure whether or not her religion allows her to touch a dog.
