The rainbow shines bright
A beautiful day
Basked in the sun’s warm rays
She sings a song
Only to be interrupted
By the crying next door
There bounded on the floor
Lay a broken doll
She picks it up
And looks into its eyes
Only to realize its mine
Reality a cruel dagger.
She was broken all along.
